Large ceramic bottle with lid ‘Michelle’
Michelle is a large lidded ceramic bottle. The idea was to take a commonplace object and play with its proportions and in doing so elevate it beyond its function. The huge stopper can be removed to create a separate vessel or just left in place for sculptural effect.
Michelle is hand built with slab and coil construction in black stoneware clay and brushed lightly with a matt glaze.
